In the heart of the city, the Millelire Harbour area, the festival’s venue, will be transformed for four days into a large pedestrian area entirely dedicated to the event. This space will host:
• 20 Sardinian craft breweries, ambassadors of the local beer industry
• 40 stands displaying artistic and traditional crafts
• 20 food trucks featuring the best of Sardinian street food
• A baby parking & play area, with workshops for the little ones
• A 12-meter stage for live concerts featuring nationally and regionally renowned artists
La Rambla, the seafront promenade, will also be present in 2025. It will host 40 stands showcasing the cultural, natural, and food and wine excellences of Northern Sardinia. This space was created thanks to the active collaboration with local organizations, associations, and tourism operators, who see Birralguer as an important showcase for promoting the region. Institutional partners already confirmed include: Fondazione Alghero, Confartigianato, Coldiretti, Campagna Amica, the Municipality of Carbonia, the Porto Conte Regional Park, and the Capo Caccia – Isola Piana Marine Protected Area. La Rambla represents a new dimension for Birralguer, where the festival opens up to the local narrative through direct encounters with tourists, residents, and cultural professionals.
Birralguer is not just a celebration, but also culture and education. Thanks to the collaboration with the Consorzio Birra Italiana, the 2025 edition will again offer drafting workshops,
guided tastings, and sensory experiences to introduce the public to the Sardinian beer production chain, from hops to glass.
The goal is clear: to educate people about conscious consumption, promote local artisanal production, and promote a sustainable and quality beer culture.
While it’s difficult to provide reliable attendance figures, the summer edition of Birralguer has averaged approximately 30,000 attendees over the years, confirming its positive impact on tourism, local commerce, and the city’s cultural promotion. With the ongoing support of the Municipality of Alghero and contributions from public and private entities,
Birralguer continues to grow, consolidating its role as a flagship event of the Alghero summer and a permanent hub for the intersection of culture, food and wine, music, and the region.
